Paper Translate

3 October - 2 November

The Paper Translate exhibition is a celebration of all and any form of creative expressions in, on and with paper or paper products. These artworks, express the fragility, nostalgic, reminiscence and timelessness of paper, an ancient medium that translate and unlock our urge to communicate and create.

Gallery One11 is closing the last quarter of the year with an Earth Pledge initiative whereby all three upcoming exhibitions, including Paper Translate, will provide an opportunity to consciously give back to the planet through Intentional Choices. We need to be accountable for the consumer choices we make and how they impact the environment. To cultivate awareness that re-use, repurpose and recycle is a way of living and that all the choices we make has an impact on our and other’s lives. By applying creativity and ingenuity we can create and add value and delight in our lives and our surroundings.

The salon style exhibition will serve as a reminder that even though creative expressions on paper is fragile, it is powerful and is still impactful in translating human expression 3000 years after invention. Come see, particiapte and engage in making a difference and bear witness to these inspired works by: Gina Niederhumer, Catherine Holtzhausen, Craig Cockcroft, Jaunita Oosthuizen, Ade Kipades, Chloe Obermeyer, Nicola Holgate, Dayna-Gay Tate, Amy Keevy and Greta McMahon, Kyoko - Origami for Africa, Belinda - Bella Flowers, Karen - AromaLogo

We would like to invite all Earth Activists to collaborate with Gallery One11 in organizing an event to raise awareness about the pressing climate change issues that shape our reality. Gallery One11 is interested in connecting the audience we activate through the Intentional Choices initiative to movements that organize events and public engagements around climate change issues, giving instructions as to how to get involved. If you are interested in engaging with us please send through to admin@galleryone11:

  • A contact detail of a spokesperson in your organisation with whom arrangements can be made directly.

  • A date when our organisation would like to occupy the gallery space between 2 October - 2 November.

  • Instructions as to how our audience can get involved with your initiative.

  • A suggestion of an engaging/interactive audience activity that relates to your initiatives views.
