We take great pleasure inviting you to Habitat this First Thursday 3 August from 17h00 at 111 Loop street. 

Local art, design and objects d'art, are often informed and deliver comments on the socio-environmental footprint of the community we live in. This installation aims to provide a platform for contemporary makers, artists and designers to sit in conversation in our centrally located gallery at 111 Loop Street. We will showcase a lifestyle exhibition where the viewers will get “serving suggestions” of furniture, art and objects d'art in the context of Habitat.

Habitat not only reflects our unique character but how we interpret our surrounding localities, cultures and landscapes. Local art, design and objects d'art are often informed and deliver comment on the status quo this installation aim to provide a platform for contemporary makers, artists and designers to sit in conversation in our centrally located gallery at 111 Loop st.

Our habitats hold a sense of place and it is here where we manifest our emotive bonds with the people and places in our surrounds. Each artwork, chair and plant becomes an extension of ourselves and is the palette of our story. How we choose to live and what we choose to surround our-selves with in our personal spaces is testimony to how we translate our environment.

Our intimate and convivial Contemporary gallery first opened its doors in September 2017 we show selective solo and group exhibitions, presenting established and emerging contemporary artists. Over the past six years more than 1000 aspiring and established artists have shown with us and each exhibition has had a unique conceptual theme that guided the curation and artist contributions.

If you come across work that the particular style or theme interests you we source work in that visual language or theme and or commission site specific work and installations.

The studio a blank canvas awaiting curation that promotes emerging contemporary artists and their work that provide insight in our community and environment. We are in transition and the next chapter will reveal itself shortly. The Gallery Space can be rented for product launches/mobilizations, private functions and special events.
