Gardens are places of remembrance, reflections of the soul. It’s beauty positively affect a person’s emotions and well-being. It is a place of consciousness but also of reflection. I remember the happy times in our garden as a child. Building fairy houses and running around naked with a hose pipe. My memories of spending time in our garden as a young adult - reflecting, refueling and recharging. Having poppyseed cake and tea under the big white stinkwood tree, chatting to my grandmother. These paintings are my responses to a garden, whether it is a happy memory, reflecting flowers bursting out of the ground or a far distant recollection, it says all you need to know about life and thereafter.
