Gallery One Eleven, the newest addition to the "Prettiest Village in Maine", opened summer 2010 and is located at the entrance to town between the Nickels-Sortwell House and the Marston House. Locals believe the renovated 1770 boarding house to be haunted and is a destination during many Halloween Ghost Tours. The highly anticipated transformation from weathered and worn to eye-catching and inviting was a great success. Our works showcase local Maine artisans with an emphasis on woodworking, metal sculptor, fiber arts, photography, painting, jewelry designs, woven artistry, and mixed media. We also have a collection of contemporary and pop art. Downstairs is featured Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts rotation artists. Daily 10 to 5, evenings by appointment, chance, or scheduled special event. May to October.
